THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ANFIELDS ROCKET (P Mxoli), FAR AWAY WINTER (K A Brewer) and DANILO DANILOVITCH (*N Nastili) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 250m, ANFIELDS ROCKET (P Mxoli) was steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed on the outside of THE AFRICA HOUSE (*S Sosibo) and on the inside of FAR AWAY WINTER (K A Brewer), which was directed inwards to continue its run. b) Approaching the 100m, FAR AWAY WINTER (K A Brewer) was steadied when awkwardly placed between ANFIELDS ROCKET (P Mxoli) and SILENT WAR (*M K Katjedi) between which commenced to hang in. c) Jockey C Zackey reported that TAIKONAUT took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) SILENT WAR (*M K Katjedi), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A P Peter advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) TAIKONAUT was ridden by Jockey C Zackey (declared 16 June 2024 at 08H06). Jockey R Fourie was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the correct carded weight on the horse TAIKONAUT, or at the higher weight confirmed in his engagement with Trainer R R Magner, thereby necessitating a change of Rider. Jockey R Fourie signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1000. b) THE AFRICA HOUSE: Apprentice S Sosibo weighed out at 51,3kg, 1kg over the carded weight as declared. c) DANILO DANILOVITCH: Apprentice N Nastili weighed out at 49,2kg, only claiming 2kg of his 4kg apprentice allowance as declared. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) SILENT WAR raced with club colours (blue with a black cap). Stipes permission.
