THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DUKE OF SUSSEX (C Zackey) refused to jump. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Trainer M N Houdalakis was advised (PHvdW). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) SUPREME DANCE (D De Gouveia) raced wide, without cover around the turn and into the straight and thereafter tired from the 300m. b) In the concluding stages, THE BRIEF (S Khumalo), which hung in from the 300m, had to steady to avoid running onto the heels of IMPERIAL MASTER (J R Syster). c) In view of the Starter's report with regard to DUKE OF SUSSEX, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion. Suspension dates: 21 June 2024 to 27 June 2024. DUKE OF SUSSEX may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer M N Houdalakis was advised. d) IMPERIAL MASTER (J R Syster), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer N Titise, acting on behalf of Trainer S T Pettigrew, was advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) IMPERIAL MASTER was ridden by Jockey J R Syster (declared 20 June 2024 at 08H12).
