THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FORWARD MOTION (C Habib) was stubborn to load. b) SPARVIERO (D Schwarz) lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start PANTHERA UNCIA (S Khumalo) was brushed out by RUBY CLAIRE (S Moodley) which jumped outwards. b) PANTHERA UNCIA (S Khumalo) over-raced in the early and middle stages, proving difficult to assist. c) GRAND OCCASION (R A Venniker) was hanging out from the 350m. d) Leaving the 300m LAUGH TILL I CRY (A Mgudlwa) shifted out marginally. Thereafter LAUGH TILL I CRY (A Mgudlwa) was carried out marginally by IZIBULO (R Fourie) which was hanging out. e) In the concluding stages IZIBULO (R Fourie) was brushed in by FORWARD MOTION (C Habib) which shifted in away from the crop and was immediately straightened. f) Jockey S Khumalo reported that PANTHERA UNCIA raced with its tongue over the bit. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. g) FORWARD MOTION (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P V Lafferty advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) SPARVIERO raced fitted with a tongue tie (advised 22.06.2024/09h47). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
