THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LINGOTTO (N Patel) was stubborn to load. Jumped awkwardly and was slow into stride. b) BARRY DU GROND (S Khumalo) was restless in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) DARING DASH (D De Gouveia) over-raced in the early stages. b) At approximately the 1200m FLYING REIGN STORM (S Moodley) which commenced to over-race, shifted out to avoid running onto the heels of DAVOS (A Mgudlwa). c) Jockey S Khumalo reported that BARRY DU GROND made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) In view of the performance of FLYING REIGN STORM (S Moodley) (15.30 lengths, 10/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) DARING DASH (D De Gouveia), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
