THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	STREWN SKY (G Lerena) was slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	Leaving the 200m, Jockey G Lerena, the rider of STREWN SKY, briefly lost the footing to his right-side stirrup iron, resulting in him becoming momentarily unbalanced. Thereafter, in the concluding stages, Jockey S Khumalo (LEESON) accidentally struck the crop from Jockey G Lerena's (STREWN SKY) grasp.
b)	Jockey M Yeni (FESTIVAL OF MAGIC) did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. Thereafter, Jockey M Yeni reported that he felt something amiss with FESTIVAL OF MAGIC in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
c)	Jockey S Khumalo reported that LEESON took a number of awkward strides in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
d)	REAL RELIEF (K Matsunyane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
