Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	VINTAGE CRYSTAL (S Khathi) was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:

a)	Approaching the 400m PRINCESS VRITTI (C Zackey) had to be checked severely when close to the heels of KAMARIA (D Schwarz) when carried inwards by VINTAGE CRYSTAL (S Khathi), which in turn was carried inwards by ELUSIVE MATA (*DB Geerthsen), which shifted inwards sharply. As a consequence, Jockey C Zackey did not persevere with his riding of PRINCESS VRITTRI. An Inquiry will be opened into why PRINCESS VRITTI (C Zackey) had to check at approximately the 400m.
b)	PRINCESS VRITTI (C Zackey) returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended, for a period of 60 days, from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr E Reynders)
c)	SEASIDE TRIP, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee MP Cloete, acting on behalf of Trainer SB Kotzen, was advised. (LM)
