THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LA MOOHAL (P Mxoli) and OFFICER IN COMMAND (D De Gouveia) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 1200m, OFFICER IN COMMAND was eased out of the race as Jockey D De Gouveia's saddle had slipped forward placing him at a severe disadvantage. b) Approaching the 300m, MASTERSHIP (C Maujean), which had come to the end of its run, was steadied momentarily to avoid the heels of DONNA MO (*M K Katjedi), which was directed outwards away from the heels of GREETING MY MASTER (G Lerena), to continue its run. c) BIOFARMER (K A Brewer) over-raced in the early and middle stages and commenced to give ground to the field from the 200m. d) EIFFEL TOWER (D Schwarz) commenced to give ground to the field from the 200m. e) LA MOOHAL (P Mxoli), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
