THE STARTER REPORTED: a) OMBUDSMAN (S Khumalo) and RIVER DANCE (S Veale) were stubborn to load. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start OMBUDSMAN (S Khumalo) was squeezed between MY BOY LOLLIPOP (M Yeni) and MC DAZZLER (C Zackey). b) BETTY MO (*B Plaaatjies) and GIMMETHEGOODLIFE (S Moodley) over raced in the early stages. c) Jockey M Thackeray (MAGMA MAGIC) accidentally dropped his crop in the concluding stages. d) In view of the performances of MY BOY LOLLIPOP (M Yeni) (5.80 lengths, 5/2 in the betting) and MC DAZZLER (C Zackey) (7.80 lengths, 9/4in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) NOCTURNAL FLIGHT (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
