Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BACK FOR MORE (K Minnie) was stubborn loading. b) LADY MISTICO (KA Brewer) was nervous in the stalls and thereafter jumped slow, losing one length. c) TWICE TO HEAVEN (*DB Geerthsen) jumped slow, losing one length. d) ROSE OF BAYEUX (D Schwarz) took an awkward stride leaving the stalls and thereafter was slow into stride. e) GIMME'S LASSIE (*N Nastili) and STRANGE MAGIC (X Ndlovu) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) PASSCHENDAELE (S Khumalo) over raced in the early and middle stages of the race. b) At approximately the 800m GIMME'S LASSIE (*N Nastili) made contact with the point of the false rail, which resulted in Apprentice N Nastili becoming unbalanced and his foot slipping out of his right-side stirrup iron, which he did not regain for the remainder of the race c) BACK FOR MORE (K Minnie) was hanging in from the 200m. d) STRANGE MAGIC, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
