THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FISH EAGLE (C Habib), NATIONAL DREAM (R A Venniker), FINE ADMIRAL (*S Hlengwa) and EVENTIDOR (T Godden) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Leaving the starting stalls BLAZING LIGHT (S Veale) was bumped by FINE ADMIRAL (*S Hlengwa) which jumped outwards. b) FINE ADMIRAL (*S Hlengwa) hung out around the turn. c) In the concluding stages PORFIRIO (G Lerena) was carried out marginally by BOM BOM (S Moodley) which initially shifted out away from the crop and thereafter hung out. d) Jockey S Khumalo reported that he felt something amiss with SILENT TRIGGER in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) In view of the performance of NATIONAL DREAM (R A Venniker) (24.45 lengths, 7/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning SILENT TRIGGER, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. (Suspension dates : 15.07.2024 - 12.09.2024 bdi). g) BOM BOM (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer W Whitehead advised (SP).
