THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CAPE FLOWER (S Khumalo) and DOUBLE TRADE (*N Nastili) were stubborn loading. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) NIKES RAY OF LIGHT (D Schwarz) was hanging in from approximately the 350m to the 100m. b) CAPE FLOWER (S Khumalo), which was hanging in, shifted inwards sharply and had to be corrected at approximately the 250m. c) Jockey S Khumalo reported that CAPE FLOWER (S Khumalo) coughed post-race. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) SWEET AND TRUE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SB Kotzen was advised.
