THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BREATH OF MAGIC (+X C Machaieie) was slow losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) In view of the performance of AMBITIOUS LADY (+T Matsoele), (distance 9,10 lengths, betting 25/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. b) AMERICAN REBEL (+P Mongqawa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee J Coetzee was advised (MduP). WORK RIDER CHANGES: a) QUELIMANE was ridden by Work Rider D Botha (declared 17 July 2024 at 08H08). Trainer W H Marwing was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.1.1 in that he declared Work Rider G Dadamasi to ride QUELIMANE without having obtained his prior consent. Trainer W H Marwing signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1000. b) DUCHESS OF SEVILLE: Work Rider C Mabaya weighed out at 57,5kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight. c) AMBITIOUS LADY: Work Rider T Matsoele weighed out at 57,6kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight.
