EN ROUTE TO THE START, DR FAUSTUS DISLODGED JOCKEY G LERENA AND BOLTED THE COURSE. DR FAUSTUS WAS TAKEN IN HAND, EXAMINED BY THE COURSE VETERINARY SURGEON AND SUBSEQUENTLY SCRATCHED. JOCKEY G LERENA WAS ATTENDED TO BY THE COURSE PARAMEDICS AND TRANSPORTED TO THE MEDICAL CENTRE FOR FURTHER OBSERVATION. THEREAFTER, BLOOMINGTON (D SCHWARZ) WAS SUBJECT TO A LATE VETERINARY EXAMINATION AND WITHDRAWN. THESES INCIDENTS CAUSED A DELAY TO THE START OF THIS RACE. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BACK IN BUSINESS (M Yeni) jumped awkwardly outwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) BACK IN BUSINESS (M Yeni) hung in from the 400m. When taking into account BACK IN BUSINESS'S history of hanging in races, Trainer J A Soma was advised to take the necessary corrective measures to improve this gelding's racing manners. b) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning FULLY LOADED, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer F P Habib was advised. c) BACK IN BUSINESS (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J A Soma advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: None.
