Stipes Report
THE STARTER HAD NO REPORTS. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) CANFORD ROSE (K A Brewer) stood losing many lengths and thereafter refused to gallop. This filly is suspended in terms of Rule 93.2.4, until such time as she proves tractable jumping on terms and galloping with a companion on a Raceday. Trainer R R Sage was advised. b) Leaving the 300m, IDEAL FUTURE (*T Mayhew) was directed outwards into a clear run. Thereafter, in the concluding stages, IDEAL FUTURE (*T Mayhew) was baulked for a clear run when on the heels of PLAY WITH FIRE (D Schwarz) and HAVE A PARTY (M Yeni). c) Jockey M van Rensburg reported that TEO TORRIATTE did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) AVOONTOAST (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J A Soma advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) SPRINGER was ridden by Jockey C Zackey (declared 18 July 2024 at 14H46). b) IDEAL FUTURE: Apprentice T Mayhew weighed out at 54,3kg, and did not claim his 2,5kg apprentice allowance as declared. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) CANFORD ROSE raced equipped with ear muffs (declared 15 July 2024 11H54). b) HAVE A PARTY raced equipped with blinkers (declared 17 July 2024 08H41). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) TEO TORRIATTE examined post race, nothing obvious detected. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. / SCRATCHED: DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
