THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	PASHTUNWALI (D Schwarz) jumped slow, losing one length.
b)	LT ALEXANDER (M van Rensburg), WIND SOCK (S Khumalo) and ABSOLU NOIR (C Maujean) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Approaching the 150m A BIT CHILLY (C Zackey) was carried inwards by WILLIAM THE FIRST (L Mxothwa), which was hanging in and shifted inwards, which resulted in Jockey C Zackey being unable to fully assist his mount. Thereafter, at the 50m A BIT CHILLY (C Zackey) had to be steadied momentarily off the heels of WILLIAM THE FIRST (L Mxothwa). Jockey L Mxothwa appeared before the Board and was advised to correct his mount timeously when shifting ground in the race. 
b)	WIND SOCK, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised. (LM)
