JOOST DROOCHSLOOT (K A BREWER) REFUSED TO PROCEED TO THE START AND WAS SUBSEQUENTLY SCRATCHED FOR DELAYING THE START. TIME WAS ALLOTTED FOR THE BETTING PUBLIC TO RESTRUCTURE THEIR BETS. THIS CAUSED A DELAY TO THE START OF THIS RACE. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SPLASHLANDING (*M K Katjedi) was stubborn loading. Trainer C Spies was advised to reschool this gelding prior to his next engagement (GT). b) HEROIC ACT (N Klink) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) JOOST DROOCHSLOOT (K A Brewer) refused to proceed to the start. This colt is suspended in terms of Rule 93.2.4, until such time as he proves tractable cantering to the start with a companion on a Raceday.
