THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE DELAY IN THE PREVIOUS RACE AS WELL CELTIC RUMOURS (G LERENA) LIFTING ITS RIGHT FRONT SHOE EN ROUTE TO THE START, WHICH WAS ATTENDED TO BY THE COURSE FARRIER. THEREAFTER, DURING THE LOADING PROCESS, CELTIC RUMOURS (G LERENA) AND CAPE LIGHTS (K A BREWER) PROVED STUBBORN LOADING. THIS INCIDENT CAUSED A FURTHER DELAY TO THE START OF THIS RACE. 	

THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	CELTIC RUMOURS (G Lerena) was stubborn loading. Trainer S G Tarry to be advised to reschool this filly prior to her next engagement (GT).
b)	CAPE LIGHTS (K A Brewer) was stubborn loading.      
c)	CAPTAIN PEG (*T Mayhew) was slow losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	RUNWAY BOMB (J Gates) commenced to give ground to the field from the 400m. Thereafter, Jockey J Gates reported that filly made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
b)	In view of the performance of BAVARIAN BEAUTY (C Habib), which tired badly from the 200m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.	
c)	CAPE LIGHTS (K A Brewer), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
