a)	WEDDING BELLS (O Noach) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride.
b)	JACK IN THE GREEN (R Fourie) was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	At the 250m JACK IN THE GREEN (R Fourie) was carried in marginally when POINTDEXTER (G Wright) shifted in away from the crop and was immediately straightened.
b)	JACK IN THE GREEN (R Fourie) took an awkward stride at the 250m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
c)	MIDWAY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer B Donnelly, acting on behalf of Trainer B Crawford, was advised. (LP)
