THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PLUM BLOSSOM (K Matsunyane) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) PLUM BLOSSOM (K Matsunyane) hung in from the 400m. b) In view of the performance of RASTIGNAC (P Strydom), (distance 21,50 lengths, betting 5/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Trainer R Klaasen was requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of RASTIGNAC on return to stables. c) TAXHAVEN (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) RASTIGNAC was ridden by Jockey P Strydom (declared 25 July 2024 at 07H17). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) RASTIGNAC examined post race, nothing obvious detected. b) PLUM BLOSSOM brush wound left hind.
