THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process, CANTFOOLME (*D B Geerthsen) kicked the back gate, resulting in COUNT YOUR CHANCES (*N Nastili) becoming restless and breaking through the front gate. Trainer B Webber was advised to reschool CANTFOOLME prior to her next engagement (GT). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) During the loading process, CANTFOOLME (*D B Geerthsen) kicked the back gates repeatedly resulting in COUNT YOUR CHANCES pre-empting the start and breaking through the front gates. COUNT YOUR CHANCES was restrained by Apprentice N Nastili, returned to the start, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. CANTFOOLME (*D B Geerthsen) was released from the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and subsequently scratched. b) Apprentice K J Lihaba reported that MEMORIAL DAY made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Apprentice J Botes, the rider of BUSHVELD, rode a satisfactory qualifying ride. d) BUSHVELD (*J Botes), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer F P Habib advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: None.
