THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DAKOTA CAT (J Penny) jumped inwards sharply leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) As the start was effected, GAL GADOT (*K J Lihaba) was buffeted between WILKIES (C Habib) and RED CARPET GIRL (D Schwarz), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) As the start was effected, DANCING DORA (G Lerena), MIX THE MAGIC (P Mxoli) and LIFE LESSON (M Yeni) were carried in by DAKOTA CAT (J Penny), which jumped inwards sharply leaving the stalls. This incident led to DANCING DORA (G Lerena) taking an awkward stride and stumbling, as well as MIX THE MAGIC (P Mxoli) having to steady to avoid the heels of RED CARPET GIRL (D Schwarz). c) In the concluding stages, GAL GADOT (*K J Lihaba) was carried in by GREEN BUBBLES (J R Syster), which hung in from the 200m. d) Jockey C Habib reported that WILKIES did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) MIX THE MAGIC (P Mxoli), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P P Labuschagne advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) WILKIES not striding out right hind. b) DAKOTA CAT lame left front.
