THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CEUTA (G Lerena) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) PRIMROSE PATH (Wes Marwing) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 300m, ZENOBIA'S GOLD (S Khumalo) and LAST GINGER (J R Syster) were carried out by SOUND MACHINE (C Habib), which shifted out abruptly from the crop. b) CEUTA (G Lerena) hung in from the 150m. c) In view of the performance of ZENOBIA'S GOLD (S Khumalo), (distance 5,60 lengths, betting 8/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) In view of the performance of SOUND MACHINE (C Habib), (distance 11,50 lengths, betting 14/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) Jockey Wes Marwing eased PRIMROSE PATH out of the race at the 1400m. Thereafter, Jockey Wes Marwing reported that he felt something amiss with this filly in running . The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) CEUTA (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee N Radford was advised (MduP).
