THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO A TECHNICAL ISSUE EMANATING FROM THE OB VAN TO THE BOARDROOM. THE STARTER HAD NO REPORTS. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) INDIAN OCEAN (P Strydom) and ROSY LEMON (M Yeni) were bumped in by MEDLERS TART (*T Mayhew), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) Leaving the 300m, APACHE FIGHTER (R Danielson) and ROSY LEMON (M Yeni) came together and brushed. c) Apprentice T Mayhew reported that MEDLERS TART made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. d) INDIAN OCEAN (P Strydom), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee M Pandaram, acting on behalf of Trainer L Karriem, was advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) APACHE FIGHTER was ridden by Jockey R Danielson, who weighed out at 57,2kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight (declared 1 August 2024 at 05H59). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None.
