THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	DAME OF FLAMES (C Habib) was nervous in the stalls and stood awkwardly.
b)	NO PLACE LIKE HOME (S Veale) was slow into stride.
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Jockey Y Ramzan (MAGNUM FIRE) dropped his crop at the 250m.
b) 	Jockey S Khumalo reported that MAGICAL MIDLANDS felt uncomfortable in its action. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
c)	Jockey A Domeyer reported that he felt something amiss with CENTRAL CITY, that this gelding had faltered in running and he did not persevere with his riding in the concluding stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 
	Trainer AC Greeff was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables.
d)	In view of the performance of ALADO'S PRIDE (M Yeni), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Jockey M Yeni appeared before the Board and was questioned regarding his riding of ALADO'S PRIDE in the concluding stages. Jockey M Yeni reported that this gelding had come to the end of its run and had tired quickly and was drifting towards other runners, which required him to steady and straighten his mount. Jockey Yeni's explanation was noted.
	Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables.
e)	DAME OF FLAMES, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GD Smith was advised. (LM)
