THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KING REGENT (D Schwarz) was restless in the stalls and jumped slow, losing one length. b) WE'RE JAMMING (G van Niekerk) and SILVER FALCON (S Veale) made contact leaving the stalls THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Leaving the 100m, RIVERSTONE (S Moodley) and FUTURE VARIETY (A Domeyer) bumped when both horses shifted ground. Thereafter, Jockey S Moodley did not persevere with his riding of RIVERSTONE. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. b) PORT LOUIS (L Mxothwa) was hanging in from the 400m. c) WE'RE JAMMING, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer C Snaith, acting on behalf of Trainer SJ Snaith, was advised.
