THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Shortly after the start JUST VAR (K Steyn) was unbalanced when bumped on both sides by BLACK PATH (X Carstens), which shifted out slightly and CLOUD CHASER (A Andrews), which shifted in.
b)	In view of the performance of UNSOLVED RIDDLE (M Mjoka), which raced wide at the front of the field on the turn and into the straight, tired quickly from the 400m and finished tailed off, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
c)	Leaving the 100m, FLY TO RIO (O Noach) was directed to the inside of a tiring LIKETHECLAPPERS (S Veale) to continue its run.
d)	In view of the performance of JUST VAR (K Steyn), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
e)	Jockey G Wright reported that GOLD INDEX felt uncomfortable in its action and took a number of awkward strides in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
