THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	GRAVITY (D Schwarz) and SENHORA VICTORIA (A Andrews) jumped slow, losing one length.
b)	ROYAL LYTHAM (G van Niekerk) jumped with its head up and thereafter was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	After leaving the parade ring correctly shod, KING MO (O Noach) cast its right front shoe on the way to the 	start which had to be replaced, causing a delay.
b)	MR FROSTIE (M Mjoka) was hanging out from the 250m.
c)	Jockey G van Niekerk reported that ROYAL LYTHAM failed to respond to his urgings in the straight and he did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
d)	BENEATH THE MOON, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer PAW Botha was advised. (SC)
