THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	LORD CAPULET (*DB Geerthsen) was nervous in the stalls and jumped slow, losing two lengths.	
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	AGAMEMNON (*N Nastili) and FEARLESS BADGER (M van Rensburg) bumped shortly after the start when FEARLESS BADGER (M van Rensburg) jumped inwards.
b)	FEARLESS BADGER (M van Rensburg) shifted inwards away from the crop at the 300m and was immediately straightened.
c)	LORD CAPULET (*DB Geerthsen) was hanging in between the 300m and the 150m and had to be straightened.
d)	Apprentice N Nastili reported that AGAMEMNON changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary 	Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
e)	TORIX NIGHT (S Khathi) returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary 	haemorrhage and is suspended for a period of 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The 	National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr E Reynders)
f)	Jockey S Khathi was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the 	crop) in that as the rider of TORIX NIGHT he misused his crop by striking TORIX NIGHT more than 12 	times (13) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Jockey S Khathi signed 	an admission of guilt and was fined R2 000,00. 
g)	TORIX NIGHT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer K Mitchley was advised. (LM)
