Stipes Report

A replacement Jockey had to be found for BEAMONESQUE. This caused a delay to the start of this race.

THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	CARE FORGOT (S Khumalo) and SPRING KISS (S Moodley) lost 1 length.
b)	LIGHT OF DAY (C Maujean) lost 2 lengths.
  
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	Shortly after the start LET THE FLAG FLY (S Veale) was carried out by RAFA'S BOY (S Moodley) which jumped outwards.
b)	Shortly after the start BEAMONESQUE (*K J Lihaba) which had jumped from a wide draw, was directed inwards towards the inside running rail to obtain cover. As a consequence BEAMONESQUE (*K J Lihaba) brushed the inside running rail.
c)	WARRIOR OF ROYALTY (M Yeni) over-raced in the early stages.
d)	At the 200m KALAHARI ROLLER (*S Sosibo) had to steady and switch out to avoid running onto the heels of GORGEOUS GUY (K A Brewer) which had tired and come to the end of its run. As a consequence WINTER GAMES (M Thackeray) was bumped out by KALAHARI ROLLER (*S Sosibo).
e)	Apprentice B Plaatjies (RODRIGUEZ) accidentally dropped his crop shortly before the finish.
f)	Jockeys M Yeni (WARRIOR OF ROYALTY) and A Mgudlwa (TRAFALGAR SQUARE) reported that they felt something amiss in the running with their respective mounts. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
g)	ROSH KEDESH (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer N Roscoe acting on behalf of Trainer D Kannemeyer advised (DZ).
JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES :
a)	LET THE FLAG FLY raced equipped with blinkers (advised 02.08.2024/09h50) and fitted with a tongue tie (advised 05.08.2024/10h05).
