THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) TURN AROUND (C Habib) stumbled shortly after the start. Thereafter this gelding commenced to over-race in the early stages. b) Approaching the 1200m ISORENDER (R A Venniker) was eased when tightened between DEPUTY CHIEF (S Veale) and CHIEF INSPECTOR (*B Plaatjies) which shifted in marginally away from DECEPTION PASS (M Yeni). Jockey M Yeni (DECEPTION PASS) appeared before the Board with regard to his involvement in this incident and was reminded of his obligation to ensure that he allows sufficient room on his inside in races. c) DECEPTION PASS (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee S Mtiana acting on behalf of Trainers M/A Azzie advised (SP).
