THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MHLABENI (D Schwarz) was nervous in the stalls and kicked the back gates. b) MOUNT ANDERSON (CF Dicken), TIRPITZ (K Minnie) and PREVALENCE (Y Ramzan) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The start of this race was delayed to allow the horse ambulance time to return to the start. b) Leaving the 1000m MY GOLLY MOLLY (M Yeni) and DOWSER (P Mxoli) brushed slightly when racing in close proximity around the turn. c) PREVALENCE (Y Ramzan), which was hanging in from approximately the 400m, shifted inwards and was corrected shortly before the finish line. d) Jockey M Yeni reported that MY GOLLY MOLLY did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) Jockey P Mxoli reported that DOWSER changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. f) PREVALENCE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
