THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start, when being restrained to take up a rearward position from a wide draw, PLAZA ACCORD (T Godden) fly-jumped and thereafter over-raced in the early stages. b) On the early part of the turn, as the pace of this race gradually slowed, PARMENION (*S Hlengwa) was switched out when close to the heels of VOLDEMORT (A Mgudlwa). c) MR HENLEY (G Lerena) was hanging out from the 400m. d) PARMENION (*S Hlengwa) was hanging in, in the concluding stages. e) In view of the performances of ALL THE TIME (C Maujean) (4.25 lengths, 13/2 in the betting) and MR HENLEY (G Lerena) (4.90 lengths, 33/10 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) PARMENION (*S Hlengwa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
