THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey M Yeni, the rider of ROSY LEMON, got his crop entangled in his reins from the 200m to the finish line. b) An inquiry will be opened into Jockey S Khumalo's (VIVA DE JANEIRO) crop use during the running of the race. c) In view of the performance of VIVA DE JANEIRO (S Khumalo), (distance 10,00 lengths, betting 14/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) DIESEL'S SHADOW (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
