THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	GIRL ABOUT TOWN (K Steyn) was stubborn loading, kicked out and had to be hooded.
b)	BLIND FAITH (C Bantam) jumped slow, losing two lengths.
b)	WEDDING BELLS (D Ashby) was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	After being slow to begin, GIRL ABOUT TOWN (K Steyn) was ridden forward and then commenced to over race and proved difficult to settle until leaving the 1200m.
b)	BLIND FAITH (C Bantam) pulled hard in the early and middle stages.
c)	FAIRFIELD (R Khathi) raced wide without cover in the early and middle stages.
d)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding GIRL ABOUT TOWN (K Steyn), this filly's starting stall 	certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as 	she proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 24/08/2024 to 30/08/2024 inclusive). 	GIRL ABOUT TOWN may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
e)	Jockey J Solomons (STATE CAPITOL) appeared before the Board as he had ceased with his riding and 	eased his mount down leaving the 100m. Jockey J Solomons was advised that, while the Stewards accepted 	that STATE CAPITOL was winning readily, he still has an obligation to ride his mounts, at least hands and 	heels, to the finish.
