THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HANGING ROCK (S Khumalo) and KILMONVAIG (C Maujean) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) KILMONIVAIG (C Maujean) over-raced in the early stages. b) BELOW DECK (K Minnie) shifted outwards, took an awkward stride and had had to be steadied momentarily at the 200m. c) Jockey C Habib (TREASURE HUNT) dropped his crop at the 200m. d) Jockey M Yeni reported that CABARET did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) Jockey C Maujean reported that KILMONIVAIG took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. f) Jockey S Khumalo reported that he felt something amiss with HANGING ROCK in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. g) TREASURE HUNT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
