THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) As notified to the Stewards, Apprentice I Taka (ONE IRISH ROVER) was instructed to ride this gelding towards the rear of the field and with cover. ONE IRISH ROVER (*I Taka) commenced to over-race in the middle stages. b) PONGOLA (R A Venniker) was hanging out from the 300m. Thereafter, at the 200m, Jockey R Venniker (PONGOLA) dropped her right side rein which she regathered shortly thereafter. c) Jockey A Mgudlwa (OH MY WORD ITS ROY) accidentally dropped his crop at the 200m. d) Jockey S Moodley reported that OCEAN PALACE did not stride out freely in the running and as a result did not persevere with his ride from the 200m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) KIMBALL O'HARA (T Godden), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
