THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	MAGDALA (X Ndlovu) and MEDITERANEANGODDES (J Gates) were stubborn loading.
b)	KOMESANS PASSION (C Habib) was nervous in the stalls.
c)	BYTHELITEOFTHEMOON (R Fourie) jumped slow, losing two lengths.
d)	FREE WORLD (D Schwarz), RUNNINGFORTHESTARS (E Webber) and BRETTY (Y Ramzan) were slow into stride.
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	After leaving the parade ring correctly shod, BRETTY (Y Ramzan) spread its right front shoe on the way to the start which had to be refitted, causing a delay.
b)	THREAD OF LIFE (C Maujean) was hanging in from the 400m.
c)	LADY CAMPER (*DB Geerthsen) and MARSHMALLOW (M van Rensburg) were hanging in from the 300m.
d)	BYTHELITEOFTHEMOON (R Fourie) had to steady momentarily for a number of strides and had to be switched in to obtain clear running when awkwardly placed behind the heels of LADY CAMPER (*DB Geerthsen) at approximately the 150m.
e)	Jockey L Mxothwa reported that he felt something amiss with MISS PREDATOR. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
	Trainer SB Kotzen was advised to report back should she find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables.
f)	MEDITERANEANGODDES, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer E Kaknis was advised. (LM)
g)	COLD TRUTH, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer JL van Heerden was advised. (LM)
