THE STARTER REPORTED: a) JOY AND PEACE (R Fourie) was reluctant to load. b) OFFICIAL SECRET (C Maujean) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey C Zackey reported that ROCKIE REEF did not stride out freely in running and he did not persevere with his riding from the 400m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. b) Jockey K Minnie reported that UNYIELDING changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. Trainer AC Greeff was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this mare on her return to the stables. c) JOY AND PEACE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
