THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	CARRIACOU (*S Sosibo) was slow into stride.
b)	FATAL GEM (C Zackey) jumped outwards. 	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	After leaving the parade ring correctly shod, TYRION LANNISTER cast its left front shoe on the way to the start, which had to be replaced, causing a delay. 
b)	Shortly after the start ZOOMIE (R Khathi) was momentarily unbalanced when bumped on the hindquarters by TYRION LANNISTER (K Steyn), which jumped inwards, was corrected and then shifted out.
c)	TYRION LANNISTER (K Steyn) was hanging out from the 200m.
d)	From the 200m, INNAMORARE (G van Niekerk) was carried outwards by ASPECT (M Mjoka), which was hanging out. Thereafter, at the 50m, INNAMORARE (G van Niekerk) had to be steadied when close to the heels of ASPECT (M Mjoka), which continued to shift out. As a consequence, Jockey G van Niekerk  was unable to ride INNAMORARE to the finish. The Stewards have adjourned to review this incident. 
e)	ASPECT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer VH Marshall was advised. (SC)
