THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MADEIRA CLIFFS (*N Nastili) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) TOWERS OF GOLD (K Matsunyane) hung out from the 400m. b) Apprentice T Mayhew reported that CHIEF OF STAFF changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) ORDER OF HOPE (K A Brewer), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer W H Marwing advised (MduP). When questioned regarding the improved performance of this gelding, Trainer W H Marwing explained to the Board that the additional distance and the fitting of the blinkers had accounted for the improved performance of ORDER OF HOPE. Trainer W H Marwing has undertaken to race this gelding similarly equipped in future. JOCKEY CHANGES: a) MADEIRA CLIFFS was ridden by Apprentice N Nastili (declared 30 August 2024 at 09H39). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) MADEIRA CLIFFS raced with a tongue tie on (declared 30 August 2024 at 08H31). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) CHIEF OF STAFF examined post race, nothing obvious detected. b) DAMASCODORO mouth injury.
