THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SAIL TO THE MOON (O Noach) was restless in the stalls. b) LEXICAN POINT (J Solomons) and GIMMELIGHTNING (JP van der Merwe) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) SPEED RACER (C Zackey) was hanging out on the turn. b) DEAN STREET (L Mxothwa) was hanging in from the 200m. c) NIGHT BOMBER (K Steyn) and DUMBLEDORE (G van Niekerk) brushed in the concluding stages. d) Jockey R Fourie reported that RIVERSTONE felt uncomfortable behind and he did not persevere with his riding in the concluding stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) NIGHT BOMBER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
