THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) ANOTHERDAYINAFRICA (*J Botes) raced wide in the early and middle stages. b) At the 300m BRASS BELL (*K J Lihaba) was brushed in by LOU LOU THE LEGEND (S Veale) which rolled in. c) At the 250m COTTON RON (C Maujean) was steadied in anticipation of the available run closing between MASTERBLING (S Hlengwa) and TEEREX (*B Plaatjies). d) In view of the performances of SPACE COWBOY (S Moodley) (9.45 lengths, 25/2 in the betting) and MAC HARDY (C Habib) (9.10 lengths, 14/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) MASTERBLING (S Hlengwa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
