THE STARTER REPORTED:

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	At the 1450m MY AMI BEACH (L Mxothwa) was severely cramped and bumped, became unbalanced for a number of strides and had to be steadied between TIME FOR GLORY (D Schwarz) and DUMISANI (P Mxoli), which was carried inwards by QUERANDI (M Yeni), which was in turn carried in by NO GREATER LOVE (S Naidoo), which shifted inwards from the 1500m. 
b)	Jockey S Naidoo was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of NO GREATHER LOVE he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to QUERANDI, DUMISANI and MY AMI BEACH at the 1450m. Jockey S Naidoo signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of 7 days. (Dates: 18/09/2024 to 24/09/2024, both dates inclusive)
c)	LADY WRITER (S Veale) was hanging in in the latter stages.
d)	Jockey S Khathi was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline C on the use of the crop) in that as the rider of BEAU KALA he misused his crop by striking BEAU KALA more than 12 times (14) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Jockey S Khathi signed an admission of guilt and was fined R4 000,00.
e)	Jockey S Khathi was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that as the rider of BEAU KALA he misused his crop by striking BEAU KALA more than three (3) times on consecutive strides which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Jockey S Khathi signed an admission of guilt and was fined R1 000,00.
f)	BEAU KALA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer K Mitchley was advised. (LM)
