Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KWITE A KING (JP van der Merwe) was stubborn loading and had to be loaded riderless. b) TOTHEMOONANDBACK (D Ashby) and MELA STRENGTH (K Steyn) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At the 700m TOTHEMOONANDBACK (D Ashby) took an awkward stride away from the inside running rail. b) Approaching the 200m KWITE A KING (JP van der Merwe) had to be steadied when unable to secure a clear run between the inside running rail and NAUSHON (O Noach), which shifted in away from IGNATIUS (R Fourie), which shifted in away from TOUCHDOWN, which shifted in away from the crop and was immediately straightened. c) In view of the report from the Starter regarding KWITE A KING (JP van der Merwe)), this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 08/09/2024 to 14/09/2024 inclusive). KWITE A KING may not be presented for re-passing during this period. d) NAUSHON, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer VH Marshall was advised.
