Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	On arrival at the start UNDERWORLD (D Schwarz) was re-saddled, causing a delay.
b)	SILVER OPERATOR (S Veale) and ZIL MORIS (M Mjoka) were reluctant to load.
c)	FUTURE VARIETY (K Steyn) and SILVER FALCON (R Fourie) were restless in the stalls.
d)	PORT LOUIS (R Khathi) and LOOK FOR HOUNDS (O Noach) were slow into stride.
e)	UNDERWORLD (D Schwarz) jumped awkwardly outwards.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Shortly after the start, Jockey D Schwarz was unbalanced for a number of strides when UNDERWORLD jumped outwards. In this incident, the saddle on UNDERWORLD slipped sideways slightly and had to be corrected.
b)	Jockey D Ashby reported that AFTER THE RAIN felt uncomfortable in its action and he did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this horse.
c)	In view of the performance of BEREAVE (G Wright), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
d)	QUESTIONING, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer VH Marshall was advised. (SC)
