THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MARINE MERCHANT (A Andrews) was restless in the stalls and thereafter was slow into stride b) MITREDAT (M Mjoka), YOU WITH ME (C Orffer) and HONOR OF KINGS (G van Niekerk) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The Starter reported that the back gate of starting stall number 5 was damaged and could not be used for this race. Horses drawn five and upwards were loaded one draw upward, relative to their respective draws. This was brought to the attention of the Racing Operator. b) MYSTIC MAJESTY (R Fourie), which over raced in the early stages, was hanging out and shifted out in the early part of the straight. c) YOU WITH ME (C Orffer) and HONOR OF KINGS (G van Niekerk) raced green. d) TWENTYTWENTYVISION, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer B Donnelly, acting on behalf of Trainer B Crawford, was advised.
