THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LENNOXTOWN (R Fourie) was nervous in the stalls and jumped awkwardly, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) LORD CAPULET (L Mxothwa) and DIRTY MIMOSA (*DB Geerthsen) over raced in the early stages. b) LENNOXTOWN (R Fourie) was hanging in in the straight. c) Jockey C Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with TAKE A MULLIGAN. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Trainer GD Smith was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables. d) LENNOXTOWN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
