THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	TUSCAN GOLD (C Habib) was nervous in the stalls.
b)	EUROPEAN SUMMER (J Gates) jumped outwards.
c)	ON THE ROAD AGAIN (X Ndlovu) was slow into stride.
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	WHATEVER NEXT (K Minnie) was baulked for a clear run at the 400m and had to be switched in to obtain clear running at the 300m.
b)	ABOUND (S Veale) shifted outwards away from the crop at the 350m and was corrected.
c)	Jockey X Ndlovu reported that ON THE ROAD AGAIN took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
	Trainer AC Greeff was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables.
d)	TUSCAN GOLD, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GD Smith was advised. (LM)
