a)	AHEAD OF THE FACTS (G Wright) jumped inwards and made contact with THE POSTMAN (J Solomons).

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Shortly after the start, Jockey J Solomons was unbalanced when THE POSTMAN shifted out sharply away from CHALICE FORT (D Ashby) and made contact with CHAMPONELLE (C Orffer).
b)	LANDOFTHERISINGSUN (G van Niekerk) pulled hard in the early stages.
c)	At the 300m LANDOFTHERISINGSUN (G van Niekerk), which commenced to hang out and ARBITRATION (JP van der Merwe), brushed. Thereafter, LANDOFTHERISINGSUN (G van Niekerk) shifted in away from the crop in the concluding stages.
d)	For a short distance leaving the 100m RED DAWN (S Veale), which was hanging out, raced in restricted galloping room between the inside running rail and TERMINATOR (A Andrews).
e)	Jockey R Fourie reported that AMANCIO tired quickly in the latter stages for no apparent reason. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
f)	Jockey D Ashby reported that CHALICE FORT did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
g)	DALMENY FACTOR, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AE Sands was advised. (SC)
