Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	SCARLET MACAW (A Andrews) was restless in the stalls, was taken out, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon and passed suitable to race, causing a delay. Thereafter, this filly was reloaded without the rider.
b)	PUSHING LIMITS (C Orffer) restless in the stalls.
c)	MOTHERSHIP (J Solomons) jumped slow, losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	SCARLET MACAW (A Andrews) was hanging out in the latter stages.
b)	MISS NEW YORK (D Ashby) shifted in away from the crop and had to be straightened.
c)	Jockey C Zackey reported that TOKYO PRINCESS tired quickly in the straight and he did not persevere with his riding in the latter stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. 
d)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding PUSHING LIMITS (C Orffer), Trainer WA Nel will be advised to have this filly re-schooled prior to her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10.
e)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding SCARLET MACAW (A Andrews), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 15/09/2024 to 21/09/2024 inclusive). SCARLET MACAW may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
f)	FESTIVAL CHIC, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Crawford was advised. (SC)
